Here comes the last series of “How To Use Blogs to Bump up your website traffic”. I tried to offer as much as I can while studying online Internet Marketing Insights. Hope everyone reading this could be benefited by any degree. To continue on series 3, we are going to talk about promote your blog using the power of Technorati.

  • Publish Targeted Categories

Publishing targeted categories enables you to easily target Technorati Tags. What I mean by this is naming your blog categories with your keyword terms for Google, and which you think might have some Technorati Tag activity that may be advantageous to you.

In fact, here’s what Technorati says about this:
“If your blog software supports categories and RSS/Atom (like Movable Type, WordPress, TypePad, Blogware, Radio), just use the included category system and make sure you are publishing autodiscovered RSS/Atom and we will automatically include tags with your posts! Your categories will be read as tags.”

  • Target The Tags That Influencers Are Targeting

Run a search on the tags that popular and influential bloggers in your target market are targeting. These guys must be getting plenty of traffic by choosing tags like these, so it’s a good idea for you to join that conversation and enhance your profile in tag results. But you need to make sure the tag/s you plan on using are relevant to your blog, else you’d only start attracting non-targeted traffic, which is pretty much useless!

Well, I sure hope you learned something after finishing these 4 series.

By the way, Auckland is currently suffering one of those worst storms in the history. Subsequently my ski trip has been spoiled as well. But on the other hand, it allows me some time to write you guys a few useful blogging tips. That sounds not so bad, doesn’t it?
