Today I am going to continue talking about using Technorati to promote your blog.

  • You’ve got to think like a Googler!

Draw up a list of popular keyword terms and then tag each one of them in Google. Here’s an example: [Keep in mind you don’t have to use colons, quotes, etc, etc, to do this] tag blog marketing.

If there happens to be a Technorati Tag for that particular keyword, it will turn up in the search results. Then, click those links and note the type of content
being published on Technorati. If it’s relevant, make a list of the bloggers that are publishing posts in relation to those tags, and try using them for your blog too.

Another technique is to perform a regular search for that keyword term and check out the initial search result pages in Google, to see if the Tag has any significant ranking.

Now all what you’ve got to do is target that tag with your own cutting-edge content! But it’s also a good idea to link to other blogs that are publishing to that tag.

Doing all of this will enable you to join the tag with your posts and gain more exposure for your blog. Secondly, it’s a cool way of finding other bloggers that share similar interests to yours. And, linking to their content might well generate plenty of social traffic to your blog!

By the way today for the first time, my blog appears on the first page of Google when searching for Internet Marketing Insights — 7 days after the birth of this blog. This is just to prove that blog is the most effective tool available at the moment to get yourself climb up the search engine ranking. So don’t wait there and start to put in some actions.
